• Gustaf Brandberg

I’m a tech guy turned food system investor on a mission to support the sustainable transformation of the most fundamental system for human civilization.

In 1996 I co-founded and ran a software consulting firm helping companies scale from zero to becoming global leaders of the internet era. After 14 years I joined our family office Gullspång Invest as a tech investor. After attending a program at Stockholm Resilience center I realized the urgent need for a sustainable shift in the food system. The following year I invested in Oatly and NICK’s et al. In 2020 I co-founded Gullspång Re:food to exclusively back entrepreneurs devoted to transforming the food system.

I’m a former food operator and have devoted most of my career to building and running sustainable food companies.

During the past two decades, I’ve worked as an Executive Director and Board Member in some of Europe’s best value-creating companies, including Danone, Nomad Foods, ProViva, and Innocent Drinks. My primary focus has always been to implement systematic changes for more sustainable food operations along with executing M&A activities. After experiencing the power of systems change and capital as levers to transform the food system into a sustainable state, I decided to become a food investor and co-founded Gullspång Re:food Invest.

I’m a former banker utilizing financial tools to create meaningful change across the food system. Food has become my everyday life.

Prior to co-founding Gullspång Re:food I worked at various financial institutions based out of Stockholm, London, and Zurich. Today, I’m fortunate enough to devote all my time to using capital as a tool to help solve some of the world’s greatest challenges originating from the food system. To me, the sustainable paradigm shift we’re starting to see across the food system represents great opportunities in history from both a financial and social perspective, which is why I co-founded Gullspång Re:food Invest.
